Precision Riding

Over the years as I have participated in Troop Riding I have seen a lot of good things happening for horse and rider. I started using some of these exercises when working with groups and the more I’ve done the more fun I have seen people and their horses having. So much so that I now offer clinics in Precision Riding.

Precision Riding is working as a team to create a pleasing spectacle for viewers and satisfying and enjoyable work for horse and rider. It’s great to see the horses settle into work, the riders relax, and as they advance together to see willing communication develop between horse and rider.

Suitable for all horses, participation in Precision Riding offers many opportunities for both Horse and Rider including; Exposure to other horses, Movement going forward, Discipline, Transitions in gaits and direction. A workout with purpose. The Horse will get focused and work with the rider in a group, and remain relaxed with other horses about, and develop a work ethic.

Riders will be using Equitation and Horsemanship skills, awareness, focus with their horse, discipline, and planning. And have fun working in a group. The exercises and drill movements undertaken will challenge in a fun and fulfilling way.

My emphasis is on making learning and work enjoyable for horse and rider by giving clear directions and guidance to get a satisfying job done.
